Kèr Ùdjawtíhb (/ˈʊdjaw/ /tɪ̞b/ [spectrum] [warm]) is a subtropical Town located in the Meaavea Region of the Tetbur Commune.

The name Kèr Ùdjawtíhb is derived from the Tauric language, as Kèr Ùdjawtíhb was founded by Glèsê Pritchards Pritchardd Watkins, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Kèr Ùdjawtíhb has a yearly average temperature of 28°C (82°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 32°C (89°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 25°C (77°F). Kèr Ùdjawtíhb receives an average of 256 cm/y (100 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Overview

Kèr Ùdjawtíhb was founded durring the late 16th century in summer of the year 1553, by Glèsê Pritchards Pritchardd Watkins. The establishment of Kèr Ùdjawtíhb was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Glèsê Pritchards Pritchardd Watkins electing to pay people to resettle in Kèr Ùdjawtíhb.

Kèr Ùdjawtíhb was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the late 16th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kèr Ùdjawtíhb is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Kèr Ùdjawtíhb is buildings are arranged arround a network of restrictive packed earth streets which form a diamond shaped grid, where each diamond verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller diamond has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town emploies a series of defencive earthworks, spikes, and fences to provide some protection against wild beasts and smaller groups of intelegent foes. Unfortuantly, these minimaly adiquite are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.

Kèr Ùdjawtíhb has a very calm atmosphere. People can be seen relaxing, scocilizing, and going about all manner of business other than the daily grind. Men, women, children, all can be seen enjoying life in a laid-back way in the many parks which line Kèr Ùdjawtíhb’s streets. A look around Kèr Ùdjawtíhb has something terribly wrong with it. It’s impossible to put one’s finger on, but something is horribly wrong. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scutteling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Perhaps it’s the overcast sky which seemed to creep out of nowhere, or the distant howling of wolves. Maybe it’s everything together. Regardless, you do not feel it would be wise to remain in Kèr Ùdjawtíhb long.

Cultural Notes

Kèr Ùdjawtíhb's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known for its fluid and florid elaborate style, comprising ornate, asymmetric designs and pastel shades. It is often considered to be a playful, light style, which made exuberant use of curves and emphasized subtle asymmetry in the general shape of its structures. Walls, ceilings and moldings are decorated with numerous interlacing of curves and counter-curves based on the shapes of ‘C’ and ‘S’, along with shell forms and other naturalistic shapes.

In Kèr Ùdjawtíhb snow is warm to the touch and does not melt within city limits. Also it only happens during summer.

The Marble Snake near Kèr Ùdjawtíhb are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.

Kèr Ùdjawtíhb's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves embarking on a group pilgrimage to channel Conjuration energies of tier 2 via throat singing.

Kèr Ùdjawtíhb is in secret rebellion against their ostensible liege, having cut deals with his enemies, plotted to betray him for their own gain, or bridled under his tyranny and sought a better lord. The community’s leadership is all in on this plot, and outside viceroys or representatives are being kept carefully ignorant of the reality. The common folk may be oblivious to the truth, though they’ll doubtless have felt the same motivations and promptings that convinced their leaders to turn traitor.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century a great windstorm struck Kèr Ùdjawtíhb. Its winds were so great they picked up unsecured objects and flung them with enough force to smash brick and skull alike. Buildings collapsed under the gale, burying countless people alive. The storm's devistation was focused on the area arround Kèr Ùdjawtíhb, which lost 148 people, 342, and 60 livestock in the disaster.. History remembers the strom as The Storm of Suffering.
